We will be spending this week at our annual ABWE-UK Team Retreat. This is always a good time of meeting, planning, fun & fellowship with our ABWE colleagues.

This is the week.

After a busy month and a half, this is the week where life gets back to a fairly regular pattern: gathered worship on Sunday, work and school Monday to Friday, church meal and prayer Wednesday evening, rest on Saturday. 

For us this December, it is that Wednesday gathering that we missed and are looking forward to this week. For the past 2 years, almost every Wednesday as church we share a meal together and spend time in prayer. These couple of hours every week have fostered deeper relationships within our church and grown our love of gathering together and praying to the Lord.

So as we sit here this morning, looking out to what might come to mind when you think of a winter day in England (cold, cloudy & rain), we anticipate the warmth of meeting with our brothers and sisters in a few days.

So while this is not so much a prayer request update, it is thankfulness to the Lord for the ordinary blessings that He has given. May we suggest that before life get's busy again, take a few moments and thank Him for what He has regularly given you.
